Welcome to Ridgefield Veterinary Center

We are located in the beautiful colonial town of Ridgefield, CT. We have been serving the local community for over 50 years. Our goal is to welcome you and your pet into our family. We are committed to helping you care for your pet by providing a team of friendly, knowledgeable and caring professionals.

We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. Our facilities include a well stocked pharmacy, in-house surgical suite, x-ray capabilities, a closely supervised hospitalization area and indoor kennels with outdoor walking areas.

Meet our Experienced Team


Dr. Mary Beran


Dr. Beran received a B.A. from Williams College in 1989 and earned her veterinary degree from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. While at Tufts she did an externship at the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago, Illinois.


Dr. Emily Mathews


Dr. Emily Mathews first told her parents she wanted to be a veterinarian at the age of 2, and she never wavered from this commitment throughout her childhood. She got her first job at a kennel at 15, and went on to work at her local veterinary clinic.

Hours: Monday - Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm
(we are closed from 1:00-2:00pm for lunch)
Saturday from 8:00am-12:00pm
